2021 IMPACT

LIFTING UP CHILDREN'S VOICES

Henrico CASA Child Banner

uplift

As we continue to navigate the extraordinary challenges of a pandemic, it has been uplifting to see the incredible resilience of our board, staff, and volunteers. Henrico CASA’s success depends on our volunteers and the staff who support them, and they have continued to prove just how committed they are. We have been constantly challenged to think about how we would continue our advocacy and keep everyone – our volunteers, staff, children, and families – safe and healthy.

We are proud that we constantly speak up and stand up for the vulnerable children in our community who need us most. Throughout this pandemic, with creativity and dedication, our advocates remained the eyes and ears of the judge for every single abused and neglected child referred to our agency. CASAs remained ever-present advocates despite physically distant environments for the children isolated at home in potentially dangerous situations.

rise up

It is humbling to be part of this organization and surrounded by like-minded, good-hearted, and child-loving individuals who work tirelessly to support our cause. That includes YOU. Your dedication pushes us closer to ensuring our vision – that all children in Henrico County live in safe and stable homes – becomes a reality.

The strength and leadership shown throughout our agency during the past eighteen months demonstrates that together we can not only face - but also rise up to lead the way through - any challenge.  Because of this, the future of Henrico CASA and the children we serve is bright.  It has never been easy, but our work is now more critical than ever.  As we enter our 27th year of advocacy for Henrico County's children, we will be sharing our exciting, new strategic plan that supports our vision for strengthening families.

We will never give up on our vision as there is always more work to be done.  We hope that you will once again commite to supporting Henrico CASA and the children and families we serve, to make our community even stronger, together.

White Quotes Small

My CASA would always tell me she would do everything in her power fighting for me. She let the Judge know how I really felt.

- 9 Year Old

Henrico CASA Child
White Quotes Small

The CASA always reassured me that my child's safety was priority. Partnering with her gave me the confidence to overcome my fear of further physical violence and continue to do all that I can for the best interest of my child.

White Quotes Small

CASA was able to "humanize" the case. The details about how the children play, how they interact with each other, with the parent, even with the CASA worker, were all very helpful and a different perspective.

Single Red Balloon

In addition to special fundraising events, Henrico CASA is grateful for the generous donors who support our mission all year long.

Your generous giving of time and finances last year had a material impact on our operations. Most importantly, you enabled us to accept every new case referred to us by judges in the Henrico County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. With your help in the upcoming year, we will continue to leave no child behind.
