Her Advocate is helping Sydney transition to a foster home. While this new home is both safe and calm, it lacks the familiarity Sydney craves. Living with strangers reinforces her feelings of loneliness and rejection, reminding her of her mother’s addiction and father’s absence. So, Sydney’s Advocate visits her weekly to offer consistent emotional support.
