Hayden is entering her teenage years without guidance.
Hayden’s parents have not consistently provided the support and boundaries that youth typically need to stay on track at school. A judge has decided that Hayden needs more structure and supervision to successfully navigate her high school years.
CASA is giving her a voice in planning for her future.
Her Advocate is collaborating with social workers and other case professionals to create a safe and structured home environment to help prevent Hayden from coming into foster care. She would rather stay with her parents, if they are able to receive the mental health and home supports that they need.
Throughout all of these calls and meetings, Hayden’s Advocate is also speaking up for Hayden’s medical problems that previously went unnoticed. Hayden will now be getting the glasses she needs to see, and the counseling that the school has recommended.
CASA hopes to help Hayden continue making strides toward a healthier future.
