Our 2025 Impact Report, entitled โStronger Together,โ reflects the collective effort of CASAโs community over the past year. Our impact wouldnโt be possible without this community of caring individuals who forward our mission.
One of our greatest strengths is the people who step forward to serve: our volunteer Advocates. Every day, Court Appointed Special Advocates are working behind the scenes, giving their time, energy, and compassion to ensure that children in the juvenile court system are not alone.
The Role of CASA Advocates
Our volunteer CASA Advocates come from all walks of life: parents, retirees, professionals, and students; united by a shared passion to stand up for vulnerable children. Each Advocate undergoes training and commits to serving for the long term, building trusting relationships with the children and families they support.
FY 2024-25 By the Numbers
- 124 trained CASA Advocates available to take on a caseย
- 399 children served in Henrico County this past yearย
- Over 10,000 hours dedicated by Advocates supporting the children we serveย
Advocates often represent the only constant presence in a childโs life amidst the uncertainty of the court system. Their advocacy ensures that childrenโs voices are heard, and their needs are prioritized.
As one Advocate shares, โWe have the ability to enter these childrenโs lives during the toughest of times and truly be there for them.โ
Without the dedication of our volunteer Advocates, we would not be able to serve nearly as many children referred by the Henrico County courts. Together, Advocates embody the spirit of Stronger Together.
Ready to Make a Difference?
If youโre inspired by the dedication of our Advocates and are interested in learning more; we invite you to attend our upcoming Information Session on October 28th. Volunteering your time can help create meaningful change for youth who need it most!
